Leeds Castle's Autumn Gold Flower Festival

Wednesday, 1 October 2008 - Sunday, 5 October 2008

Fabulous autumnal flower arrangements fill the castle rooms at Leeds Castle's Autumn Gold Flower Festival. Floral designers, florists, flower societies and clubs compete for the best arrangement, with visitors invited to vote for their favourite display. The imaginative floral works of art reflect the season of mists and mellow fruitfulness while showcasing the individual talents of those taking part.Dazzling displays in vibrant reds, yellows and orange contrast with muted russets and greens in soft hues. Contorted corylus, skeletal leaves and lots of seed heads add drama to architectural plants such as salix, amaryllis and lilies. The fragrance of fresh flowers, autumn fruits and berries adds to the sensory experience. Grounds open at 10am daily and the castle is open from 10.30am. Last admission is 3pm and gates close at 5pm. Every ticket to Leeds Castle is valid for 12 months and includes entry to an extensive programme of varied and exciting events.
