Stiles and kissing gates across the UK may be in breach of Disabled access laws, according to local authorities in Suffolk.
The 1995 Disability and Discrimination Act rules that public services should replace or adjust any feature which limits disabled access.
Suffolk county council is looking for alternatives to the traditional farming gates to open the countryside up to disabled people but still keep livestock inside.
