Motorhome Sales Up

Industry celebrates 12 consecutive years of motorhome sales growth

The motorhome industry is celebrating 12 years of consecutive growth after 11,221 new motorhomes were registered by the end of November 2007.
This breaks the sales record as by the end of November 501 more motorhomes had been registered than in the corresponding period of 2006. Sales of used motorhomes have increased by over 6 per cent.

Anthony Trevelyan, Chairman of the SMMT Motorhome Forum and the NCC Motorhome Division said: There is no question but that the motorhome way of leisure is growing in appeal. With new and used sales increasing, we are continuing to attract newcomers to motorhomes in ever higher numbers. There are a number of reasons for this- the vehicles are improving all the time, not just in design terms, but also and most importantly, environmental performance."
