Vauxhall plan new emblem
Vauxhall have this week announced that they will be redesigning their famous Griffin logo (pictured) as of Summer 2008. Their emblem, which was derived from the coat of arms of Fulk Le Breant, a family who had rights to an area south of London which became known as Vauxhall.
When Vauxhall Iron Works moved to Luton in 1905, the emblem coincidentally returned to its ancestral home.
The new, reportedly sleeker emblem is to be unveiled at car shows this summer.
