Goodwood Festival of Speed

Motor caravanners flock to the world's biggest and most diverse celebration of the history of motor sport and car culture

What do motor caravanners do at the weekend? Well, for one glorious weekend in July you’d have found a number of us and at glorious Goodwood for the Festival of Speed.

Celeb spotters might have seen our editor, contributors Mike Cazalet and wife Christina, and Nick Harding. And the rider of this bike, security product manufacturer Milenco’s managing director Nigel Milbank.

Since the bike was the real star we can tell you that it is the V&M Yamaha R1 on which the late David Jefferies won the Senior Isle of Man TT race and five other world class events in 1999.

We weren’t the only motor caravanners there. Nigel’s motor caravan was parked across the other side of the camp site along with a few thousand other motor caravans.
