Britain's first urban campsite

If you are feeling the pinch in the credit crunch and don't have enough pennies to stretch to a holiday abroad, why not try out Bovril's extreme urban campsite, situated 230ft up on a building in London.

The sky-high campsite aims to help people make the most of their surroundings and is being trialled to support inner city folks who don't have the time or money to escape to the country this year.

The campsite launch comes as more Brits are choosing to holiday in the UK, resulting in a boost in the Camping and Caravanning Club's advanced bookings which are currently 30 per cent higher than this time last year.

Jon Dale from the Camping and Caravanning Club said: "Camping has always played a big part in the British outdoors and our latest figures only help demonstrate the fact that camping and caravanning is becoming all the more popular.

"As a club, we simply want to help members of the public enjoy the adventure and make the most of the outdoors."
