Motor caravanners are getting younger, says Safeguard

Recent figures from leading UK motorhome insurance provider show a rise in number of twenty-something vanners

Leading caravan and motorhome insurance provider Safeguard, has released figures for 2009, revealing a 62% increase from the previous year in the number of quotes for 20-30 year olds taking out caravan and motorhome insurance.

The average age of 'vanners and motor caravanners is 53, but these figures show just how popular the hobby has become with younger couples and families.

Safeguard manager Rita Sadler said, 'The younger generations are feeling the pinch from the economic downturn and as a result, they're choosing to staycation'.
